Alum Chine

Close to Westbourne and it's lively boutiques Alum Chime Beach offers slightly less hustle & bustle than some of the main beaches in Bournemouth. This Blue Flag Award winner has seafront refreshments and restaurants. Alum Chine offers safe bathing for children and like most other beaches in Bournemouth it runs a Kidzone scheme for lost children. Alum Chine has disabled toilets, parking and baby changing facilities.

Durley Chine

Blue Flag winner and an attractive beach with a woodland backdrop, Durley Chine has golden sands and offers safe bathing and clean water. Ideal for families Durley Chine beach has excellent children's facilities including beach entertainment, a bouncy castle, refreshments and boat hire.

There is a lifeguard at the beach during July and August and Durley Chine has disabled toilets and parking facilities.

Boscombe Beach

Boscombe beach

Ideal for families Boscombe beach runs a Kidzone scheme for finding lost children and offers safe bathing with a gently sloping beach and golden sands. Refreshments are available along the promenade and there is ample pay & display parking. Boscombe beach has disabled toilet facilities and parking.

Fishermans Walk

Good for families with children Fishermans Walk beach offers safe clean bathing and water sport activities including windsurfing & canoeing. This sandy beach has disabled access, toilets & parking. During the peak summer months a lifeguard is also on duty.

Southbourne Beach

Southbourne beach is made up of sand with shingle in parts, it offers safe bathing and is good for families with children. Southbourne beach has a lifeguard on duty during the summer months and operates the Kidszone scheme to quickly locate lost children. There is disabled access, toilets and parking, refreshments are available on the seafront, activities include surfing & windsurfing.
